In my town, I think the protest is planned to be spread out along the main streets. It’s to show signs to passerby’s, not to gather in a big self-congratulatory wank-off in a park. I could be under the wrong impression, though. How concentrated does a gathering need to be, to be under the City’s control, I wonder? Are we “allowed” to stand on the street of our choice and hold a sign if we are an isolated group? In this day and age, I doubt it-

Am I going? Yeah. Why? To let the world know that I think the direction this country is going could not be more alarming. Calls and letters are not having a big effect, as our reps are doing whatever the hell they want anyway. Plus in my state they are all Democrats now anyway. Debate as an option? Of course, that continues, but in the age of Hannity chaos and crying Wolf, real, exceptional concerns just get lost in the background noise. Do I want to be anywhere near Ron Paulians and Neo-Nazi’s? No way, but am I willing to see how it goes without being cynical in the first place. Yeah.
