I suppose I should probably leave then? When McCain picked Palin as his running mate, I actually thought it was a good pick. I even thought she was smart for a little bit. Then she opened her mouth.

Keep in mind that this Palin stuff is from 2012 long after she had opened her mouth and done a lot of other dumb things on the national scene for four years after she was nominated. Amy’s defense seems to be that she was doing it on behalf of her non-partisan organization dedicated to advancing women into leadership roles (thenewagenda.net). I suppose Palin was one of the only prominent women in the GOP in 2012 (she was better than MIchelle Bachman I guess?). I am not a fan of her Palin advocacy, but I still think her errors in judgment were forgivable if she had approached this better. She got overly defensive and dismissive in a way that turned this into a war instead of just acknowledging and reflecting on her earlier views and explaining why they do not represent who she is now.
