re: #204 HappyWarrior

There’s a lot of things to criticize Bernie about but I don’t see him as an enemy. I think he’s just wrong and not the best candidate.

I think he’s a crappy general candidate. I think his views are narrowed by a life and career in a highly non-representative state. I think he doesn’t get or doesn’t care to get a lot of the problems facing this country. I think he doesn’t embrace a lot of imperfect solutions that Obama’s coalition has built. I think he’s naive at best about what he could accomplish, or about how this country would react to continued political deadlock, and any number of other things. I am concerned he’s completely uninterested about foreign policy. I am a little bit offended at how he treats minority voters as though they would support him if only they were a little more educated about his policies. I am a little bit offended at how he thinks he can show up on the Democratic Party’s doorstep one morning and just expect equal treatment as if American political parties are literally anything other than friend-posses constructed to help pals get shit done for each other.

Hate? Do I hate Bernie Sanders? Grow up. That’s a comment I’d downding from pretty much anybody else except I’ve been Overton window’d into just expecting that kind of nonsense from some people.
