Speaking of smoking, do any former cig. smokers have any tips for quitting?

First, you really have to want to quit. I quit over 6 years ago, had tried to quit several times before. I spent Friday night drinking and smoking my ass off. At midnight I threw the rest of the pack in the driveway, in the pouring rain. I wore a nicotine patch on day one, half a patch on day two, and a quarter of a patch for two more days. Brushed my teeth frequently, drank a lot of water and avoided places where people smoked. Clean all the ashtrays, air out your home and car. I also chewed a lot of sugarless gum.
