On another note, Sony Pictures was trying to gain rights to make a Doctor Who movie, as we learned from that file leak.

Moffat and others at the BBC said no, which is good. I would hate to see what the American Film Industry would do to Doctor Who.

We already saw an American attempt at making a Doctor Who film. About the only good things that came out of it were the Eighth Doctor and the steampunk TARDIS control room.
