On a completely OT note, why is it so complicated to buy a new toilet? Like seriously, how many measurements do I need?

I think they’re pretty much standard. There’s a hole with a flange and a couple of threaded studs in the floor. If they weren’t always the same, it would make plumbers’ lives hellish.
