SWAT standoff near airport continues into Thursday night, public asked to avoid the area

SWAT and FBI are currently responding to a standoff situation in North Lubbock at Interstate 27 and Regis St. One unidentified man is in a standoff with law enforcement at the National Guard Armory by the airport.

The LPD needs the public to avoid the area as they work the SWAT callout.
