If by throughly decent and honorable you mean he hounded the family of a man suffering from depression who committed suicide to try to implicate a political rival in his alleged murder instead. Then yeah, he’s a thoroughly decent and honorable person.
I didn’t know of Ben Wittes until Trump. And for the most part I like his appeal to logic and reason over emotion. But recently there have been a couple of occasions where I feel he’s bending a bit for some reason, perhaps to keep credibility with his conservative colleagues in legal circles, or perhaps that’s just who he is and his anti-Trump stuff masked him as a more conservative person than I thought. I don’t mean to trash him. I’m just curious.
