Considering the GOP base, I’m entirely convinced they’ll reelect a future felon for no other reason than he has an (R) next to his name on the ballot. Collins will win reelection, end up convicted, and there’ll be a special election next year to fill his seat that will just elect whoever the GOP would rather run this year.
