There was a question about the House ability to use inherent contempt powers to jail those held in contempt and that where would adequate space be provided to hold those persons in jail?

Collins’ office is as good a place as any. It’d be useful space, given that the GOP delayed holding off on Collins taking the plea deal just long enough to prevent an election from being held in due course. The GOP denies the constituents of Collins’ district representation due to their timing tricks. This is how the GOP operates.

That Pompeo and others are lawyering up now shows that they’re dumber than a bag of hammers. For one thing, they should have lawyered up long ago because all of this was going to hit the fan. They’re doing so now because they’re at the bulkshit fan interface.

For another, they signed on to Trumpworld, and that’s a death sentence to character, judgment, and competency (what little one professes to have). Everyone in Trumpworld is a sycophant and a hack.

That Trump is complaining about his advisers putting him in this position speaks volumes to Trump’s own stupidity and picking all the best people - these are the best he comes up with because he only listens to those telling him what he wants to hear.

Now we learn that Bolton disagreed with the intentions of the Zelinksy call - well, that means he knew what was going to be discussed ahead of the meeting. That means Congress has to haul his ass to testify under oath.

And follow that up with Pompeo and Barr. Both those fuckers are in this conspiracy and must be held to account. Resignation isn’t going to save them.
