My heater ducts were GONE when I got mine. It was a beater. It was beat. But if you had rubber and added oil and gas, it worked. It survived the old Schuylkill expressway until I sold it. Big bonus was you could park that sucker in the city much easier. That was when luxury liners ruled the roads. We would go down to Pop Edwards at 16th and Market (Dark Budweiser which I never saw anywhere else) and the original Khyber Pass which was a great place when it first opened.

I used to be able to fill that thing up for under three bucks and still have gas left at the end of the week!

After that one, I got a Fastback. I drove it into the city one day to put up posters for a gig at Dobbs, and rode it a little too hard on the way home.

Aluminum carb. Smoke from the engine compartment. Lifted the lid and the carb was melted sideways. Fire department put it out and I junked it and bought an Olds Vista Cruiser for $150. Man, I could haul all kinds of gear in that sucker.
