I am far more worried about the latter than the former. If another Republican asshole - one with brains - comes in while we are in the process of recovering, we’re doomed. But if we can ensure that their power to do damage is limited and we can recover safely, then making plans to actually do the recovery are much easier. Republicans aren’t likely to work with Biden on much of anything, so we’ve got to make it count.

Yeah we’ve been a bit lucky that Trump isn’t that smart. I’m definitely worried about it happening again because voter amnesia is real. Maybe we should replace the CSA memorials with Covid ones.
