The result of this ruling, assuming the Supreme’s don’t strike it down, will be worse than simply Obama’s appointees being ruled invalid. The Judiciary has basically just overturned over a century’s worth of practice with regards to recess appointments. Any actions taken by past appointees which are still valid today could be challenged in court as the result of an unconstitutional appointment.
