are you aware of David Brooks? frequently on the NY Times…. Sullivan aspires to be that guy…. While I applaud Sullivan’s stance on gay marriage, he’s been on the wrong side of damn near everything else (imho). He has a decent audience because he writes well, and for some reason, he gets a pass on a lot of things because of his civility. As in politely backing the “science” behind The Bell Curve which implies that certain races are smarter than others… which was taken down due to some extremely shoddy methodology and some carefree manipulation of the numbers.
