Me too, I was born in the Reagan years too. I remember Gulf War I being televised and watching it on TV. I don’t remember either my parents or grandparents being big fans of his but the more I learn about the man and see him interviewed, the more I wish there could be more like him. I also have a special place in my heart for him for signing the Americans with Disabilities Act. Something that I think wouldn’t even make it out of committee considering how today’s Congressional Rs are.

My parents were fans of the elder Bush because he was a Republican. Real party-line thinkers, those two. Rush Limbaugh die-hards and conservative Christian Republicans to the last.
