And even then, their talent is usually very superficial. Hagar’s the perfect example. Yeah, he’s probably a “better” vocalist than David Lee Roth technically speaking, but he completely lacks Roth’s energy and charisma, and Van Halen’s material suffered as a result when he came on board.
Eddie finally got his chart-topping hit record w/ Van Hagar. At least that’s how I seem to remember it. Personally, I couldn’t stand it.
