Since I am such a fan of both historical/tech/adventure and TV shows like LOST, it was recommended that I get “Foucault’s Pendulum” by Umberto Eco.

Whoa, looking over the chapters and just scanning the text, I think I need a degree in Quantum Physics.

For LOST fans, the reason this was recommended is there probably is a tie-in with the actual concepts of Foucaults pendulum. If you saw the season opener, Mrs. Hawkings was using some sort of machine with a pendulum to plot something on a map (as in, where the Island will next appear).
