None of this is surprising to me anymore. There have always been elements of homophobia, racism, religious supremacism, etc. on the right. Joe the Plumber was always an idiot. I know a lot of lizards love Sarah Palin but she’s not much better.

Hey, it’s both sides. Funny (not) how a guy like Larry Craig (disgusting) is called every name in the book and made fun of when its’ convenient to them, Michael Steele has Oreo cookies rolled up on a stage during a debate and noone on the left comes to his defense, and Miss California is now “fair game” to feminist groups. The far right and the far left have a lot in common with their hatreds and biases, and I’m sick of them both.
