And that there was no overall plan or concept for implementing independence, it was just an expression of intent.

Right. The Scots got hoodwinked into staying. And the SNP has and should continue to pounce on this. It’s also created new problems in Northern Ireland where Brexit passed but the divide was on old sectarian grounds and with the question of the border.
