I think this is the problem I have with a lot of Americans’ use of the Magic Balance Fairy in politics. It’s a way to say you’re above it all; that you’re too smart to be fooled them fast-talkin’ slick lawyer types who run our country.

In KT’s case, it’s taken to a rather quite-frankly-inhuman level by trying to gauge whether torturing a human being is the same as blowing them up with a drone.

The proper human response is that you should be horrified by both, and not try to grade them in order to prove all Presidents are the same. But maybe I’m just being too liberal.

Tell you what, though: this whole exchange goes a long way towards explaining his glee at seeing OWS protesters peppersprayed and hurt.
