So, it’s been 40 days since my good friend died. Her husband of 19 years just announced on Facebook that he felt lucky to be in a new relationship.
40 days, too soon? Anybody, too soon?

Hey, Jesus only lasted 40 days before he said, “Fuck it, I need bath.” He’s probably rebounding, but it’s his pain, his rebound. Don’t judge him for it.

If he turns up with a bunch of coeds one night, one might question his sense of loss, but even if he were to do that, she’s dead and he cat hurt her.
