On the up side, it weeds out the wheat from the chaff, so to speak. My Christmas list just got a hell of a lot smaller and simpler too. Bonus! It’s like all the assholes down here in GA who have to have a confederate flag on their cars now. Good, makes my life a lot easier. I need more asshole detection devices in my life.

I’m only half kidding. It makes me incredibly sad too. I was raised by right wing evangelical Christians, and while they’re still ultra conservative in a lot of ways, never allowed us kids to be racist assholes to anyone. I know good people outnumber the bad, they’re just too busy leading their lives to be loud and obnoxious and in the limelight. I have to remind myself of that when I feel like crying.
