Damn…it really does appear Trump has the wrecking ball and is swinging away.

Many had hopes he would wreck the GOP and it seems as if that is the goal. Looks like he has a bunch of helpers willing to go along.

It sure is going to be an interesting last four weeks. Could be a lot of Republican rubble after Trump and gang finish this run.

If anything, the GOP is going to be forced to change. The only questions is to what degree and where to start. They have to send a strong signal to get the riff-raff out and that is going to cost them several years of remodeling. If they don’t clean house, they won’t stand a chance of having the base support anything that isn’t totally nutty and radical.

I wonder how much longer Paul Ryan will be Speaker of the House if they maintain the house majority? I don’t see him as being strong enough to lead a big change.

If he lives another four years (just by looking at his face, I’m skeptical) he’ll be back at the head of a new Deplorable Party (maybe called something else, maybe not.) He figures he’s got a hard floor of 40%, figures he can pull in another point or two, and if the economy’s down a little, thinks he can pull off 42% to Hillary’s 38, with 20% for the rump Republican Party. I’m not sure he’s wrong.
