I don’t care that Trump, prior to being president, had an affair (or more likely: multiple affairs). I don’t even necessarily care that he and the woman (ore more likely: women) signed an NDA.

I do care that said payments were not disclosed during campaign as in kind contributions. But on my outrage meter, “campaign finance violation to cover up affair” generates about a 0.05.

What I care about by several orders of magnitude is Trump’s apparent dealings with a foreign government to tilt the election in his favor. I care about Trump’s disregard for the rule of law and attempts to obstruct justice. I care about Trump’s chumminess with dictators and aversion to our allies from democratic nations. I care about Trump’s attempts to destroy norms and undermine institutions in order to hold onto power. I also care about his policies that are designed to wreck the global economy even if he doesn’t realize it.
