The answer is “No,” because if Republicans start seeing Press the Meat as “hostile,” they’ll start refusing to be booked for the show. And since modern journalism lives and dies by “access,” Chuck will quickly be put on notice that he has to knock that whole “investigative journalism” shit off or else they’ll suddenly find reason to move him elsewhere and bring in somebody that Republicans feel is “friendly.”

And that’s why I have no tears for either Todd or Shep; in their own ways, they helped to further corrupt the American body politic that led to President Trump and helped to legitimize Trump’s actions in office and the actions of the GOP in Congress ever since up till now, when they each could have taken steps to make sure their audiences knew exactly what was coming and how to prevent it.

Yeah, that would have meant that, at the very least, Shep would have probably lost his job years ago instead of now and WTF knows about Todd, but they (and others) sold their souls long ago for their careers, so fuck them both…they and those in the media like them fucked us all.
