Video: Trump’s Deranged Sex Fantasy About Former FBI Agents Peter Strzok and Lisa Page

YouTube

Fox News puts a “GRAPHIC CONTENT WARNING” on this YouTube video clip, because here we see the president* of the US indulging himself in an extended creepy fantasy about two of his frequent targets having sex as they talk about bringing him down. The Fox News viewers in YouTube’s comments absolutely loved it, of course.

This was the moment Donald Trump truly became president.

If he dropped his pants and started jerking himself off in front of the crowd, how many of his followers would whoop with joy & relief, drop their pants and start doing the same thing as their hero?

20%?
50%?
90%?

Unfortunately, those options differ in the wrong significant digit. It’s more like
95%?
97%?
99%?

It was long surmised that the FBI was running an active investigation against Rudy and his cronies. It’s likely they had a FISA warrant against Rudy to allow wiretaps to get critical info on his Russian buddies and others.

I’m still wondering why the SDNY holds off on indicting Rudy or others in Trumpworld, or Sessions. Are they trying to get even more evidence against them, or are they getting thwarted due to pressure from above?

Barr has no love for Rudy, so this might enable the SDNY to go ahead and take out the former head of SDNY using many of the same federal felony statutes that he used to prosecute mobsters and other criminals with.

But Barr is also implicated in all things Ukraine, and he’s yet to recuse. This is merely a situation where there are no clean hands here and everyone in Trumpworld is intent on politicizing every avenue of governance to enrich themselves and to stay in power as long as possible.

I CL’d this response on the dead thread I first saw this on:

Religious freedom IS: “I can’t do that, it’s against MY religion”
Religious freedom IS NOT: “YOU can’t do that, it’s against MY religion”.

The second one is religious persecution.

It would be SOP for the Feds to put up wiretaps the second they start investigating. And as I said in the last thread, going thru the FISA process keeps them off the DoJ’s now-corrupt radar.

Imagine all the dirt that Giuliani dropped during those conversations. And, since they were with anti-US crooks outside our borders, there is no privacy constraint against releasing them to the public.

Those start playing on TV, and the calculus in the Senate starts shifting. Fast.

The second one is religious persecution.

The second part is clearly unacceptable, but even the first part is problematic. E.g., the cake baker cases.

It is easy for a conflict to develop between personal practice of one’s religion and running a public facing business, and IMO all such conflicts should give no weight at all to the religious angle. I.e., no form of discrimination that would be illegal if done for purely secular reasons should be permitted if the excuse were religious.

How adorable! CNN panel thinks it’s possible to recover from the damage inflicted by Trump on our foreign relationships. Unless the Trump maladministration and the GOP Senate leadership are gone by the end of this month, there is no recovery. He has poisoned our public discourse and the Fox media has irreparably poisoned the minds of tens of millions of our fellow citizens.

Of course this is a nation that violated every treaty we signed with Native Americans and other nations still trusted us, but not all nations have such short memories.

Graham’s going golfing with Trump tomorrow. I’m sure that will be a nothing burger.

Everything Trump touches dies. May the GOP die swiftly and take the white supremacists and KKKer types with them.

That might be true if each country existed indepdently, but they don’t. We are the miltiary for a number of countries. And where are these countries going to turn to, because they’re not going to turn to China or Russia?

I don’t think we’ll return to full, actually, I hope not, but if we get someone sane in office, a lot of places are going to just be happy we’re back.

Now, if we elect another tyrant after? We’re screwed.

First go at bread made with almond and coconut flour

Came out without a lot of rise and still a bit damp. Not a bad flavor and has the crumb/texture of a dense quick bread. Will have to tweak things a bit to see about getting more air into the dough before baking, or some other adjustment to see if the texture can be lightened a bit.

Americans think 100 years is a long time.
Europeans think 100 miles is far away.

Russians and Chinese think both of those are recent and nearby.

You virtually cannot do that. Add an extra tablespoon of baking powder which will give you some rise but you’ll never get a light bread like structure… The best you’ll get is more like a pound cake.

While Barr has no love for Rudy, imagine for a moment how the phone call goes when Trump turns on the TiVo to find that Rudy has been indicted and arrested for federal crimes… Barr probably knows that if he greenlights Rudy’s arrest, he’s going to get fired, Rudy is going to get pardoned, and then, probably nominated for AG. If Barr is stonewalling or putting pressure on the SDNY it’s because he knows the president will lose whatever is left of his ever loving hating mind.

The Never-Trump conservatives are still conservatives. Some may be closer to the center on some issues, but they’re not progressives or liberals. You knew it would happen when the heat started getting turned up on Trump and “traditional” GOPers like Romney started to seize the opportunity to look like a “statesman” and “rational adult”; when it comes to Never Trumpers, speaking against God Emperor Trump without the deeds of backing it up by actually working against him and the Trump-captured GOP apparatus is likely bullshit, as we’re seeing with Rubin.

Never Trumpers, for the most part, it seems, aren’t appalled or angry of what Trump is actually doing, they’re appalled and angry that he’s being so blatant about it without obfuscation or plausible deniability; that’s why no one in the GOP needs to be anywhere near the levers of power anywhere.

there are lots of ways to go gf.
trying to duplicate generally accepted bread tends not to work out too well.

- bean based breads
- corn based
- garbanzo and tapioca flours too

you can also try biscuits, buns, and flatbreads
since they are smaller and/or thinner they tend to cook through better

like almond buns (great for burgers), brazilian cheese bread (best non-biscuit ever), or flaxmeal flatbread

not one of them tastes like cardboard (ie rice cakes)

He has poisoned our public discourse and the Fox media has irreparably poisoned the minds of tens of millions of our fellow citizens.

Of course this is a nation that violated every treaty we signed with Native Americans and other nations still trusted us, but not all nations have such short memories.

The next President will have to go on an apology tour!

I’m not willing to look at Smith as a martyr. As you note, he had to know all along the shenanigans of Fox News from its start.

Entertainment companies often have them. But they only apply for a similar type of contract/employment, for a limited time.

Honestly, my view of Shep Smith is like that of Alan Colmes, he was there strictly to give the producers of the station the excuse that they were “fair and balanced.” And the impression left by his departure today is that this was not something planned, it was something spontaneous and that has left everybody scrambling for answers. I personally suspect that when he gets the opportunity to open up about this, we’re going to find out that Faux didn’t want to lose him but they felt pressure from Barr (Donny’s capo) to do something to put him on a leash. He said that wasn’t happening, they said he either agreed or he’d be fired, and he chose to quit rather than potentially losing any retirement benefits.

They spent the better part of the past 4 years enabling Trumpworld. NBC isn’t alone in this regard, but Todd’s been a fawning useful idiot for Trump by allowing Trump propagandists to come on week after week to spew their toxic and false bulkshit.

So now they finally recognize the problem? What will they do?

Will they stop having on the GOPers most likely to lie about everything? Nope. Don’t count on it. Will they challenge every last statement and utterance (doing the homework to counter the bulkshit spewed)?

That remains to be seen.

The answer is “No,” because if Republicans start seeing Press the Meat as “hostile,” they’ll start refusing to be booked for the show. And since modern journalism lives and dies by “access,” Chuck will quickly be put on notice that he has to knock that whole “investigative journalism” shit off or else they’ll suddenly find reason to move him elsewhere and bring in somebody that Republicans feel is “friendly.”

And that’s why I have no tears for either Todd or Shep; in their own ways, they helped to further corrupt the American body politic that led to President Trump and helped to legitimize Trump’s actions in office and the actions of the GOP in Congress ever since up till now, when they each could have taken steps to make sure their audiences knew exactly what was coming and how to prevent it.

Yeah, that would have meant that, at the very least, Shep would have probably lost his job years ago instead of now and WTF knows about Todd, but they (and others) sold their souls long ago for their careers, so fuck them both…they and those in the media like them fucked us all.

Shep has had his moments over the years, I’d wager way more than Todd has ever had up to this point. But I feel my comparison to Alan Colmes was apt, he was never anything more than a shield, a way for the network to defend having far-right shitheels like Beck, Bill’O, Hannity, or Carlson by saying that the network was “balanced.” In absence of other evidence, I maintain a belief that Shep quit because whatever “freedom” was granted by execs to speak his mind was about to be curbed and he felt that was the last straw. It certainly doesn’t seem as though he had any problem with the direction of the network or the people he was expected to work with.

I have to say, though, that Blizzard is in a tough spot here. They literally cannot afford to lose the Chinese community, so they’re basically playing it safe. Isn’t it lovely that the morons at Blizzard who crapped their diapers here are extremely well-paid executive masters of the universe.

I’m reminded of a sorry episode where Stanford bent over backward to accommodate GOP drug war hysteria during the HW Bush years. Some GOP douchebag started talking about illegally ending all of Stanford’s research funding because a Stanford prof was getting frisky on the subject, and the university administration crapped themselves into their own cesspit to comply: spineless jellyfish floating in their own fear-turds.

Stanford has more money than God, and times like that are what the money is for.

Interesting read:

His 3 p.m. hour, “Shepard Smith Reporting,” was one of Fox’s most celebrated shows outside the building — especially among critics of the right-wing prime time lineup.
But his ratings were low by Fox standards.
So on the one hand, Smith’s fans were glad he was on Fox, trying to counteract the propagandistic shows elsewhere on the network’s schedule. But they weren’t part of Fox’s core audience.
Trump thinks Fox News isn’t doing enough to promote his presidency
Trump thinks Fox News isn’t doing enough to promote his presidency
To the contrary, many of the network’s loyal viewers detested Smith for the very same reasons that others cheered for his solid reporting. Trump was one of those loyal viewers who hated Smith.

No one is going to turn on FoxNews to watch one straight show in a sea of crap and the sea of crap lovers hate to have their fake reality shattered.

As noted, Blizzard didn’t even wait for the Chinese censors to start breathing down their necks before they acted. It’s one thing when you’re forced to do something that you’d rather not do, it’s another when you preemptively take steps out of fear of injury to profits. When you’re a company that has a plaque reading “Every Voice Matters” outside your HQ’s front door, preemptively silencing one of those voices because it might lead to lower profits is asking for a shitstorm to descend upon you.

No one is going to turn on FoxNews to watch one straight show in a sea of crap and the sea of crap lovers hate to have their fake reality shattered.

Yeah, like I said above, this whole thing seems to be about nothing more than Shep being told that he was gonna have to start toeing the party line and his deciding that was a bridge too far. That wasn’t forced out, but the effect was all the same because now the execs can just rotate out any of his replacements that Donny doesn’t like.

Last evening I went with four other women to the Chicago TimeLine Theatre Company production of “Oslo” at the Broadway Playhouse in Water Tower. It was a terrific play that tried to have a positive message at the end but when the play finished, most of us felt that it was a truly depressing experience.

I remember the hope many of us had in the early 1990’s when the Oslo accords were signed — it seemed that one of the world’s intractable disputes might finally have a chance of resolution. But the real world intervened — Rabin was assassinated and those who wished for peace were replaced by little men who wished only for power at all costs. It’s hard to maintain hope while Trump is still in the WH, Netanyahu remains the leader in Israel, Putin is free to spread his poison, Boris stays leader in London, Erdogan slaughters the Kurds, and nationalism is on the march throughout the world.

Trump is everything that the wingnuts accused Obama of being: weak, feckless, and totally obsessed with his own image rather than the safety of our troops. The rest of the world has discovered that all you have to do is play to his ego or (if that fails) slip him some money to look the other way.

Wingnut projection is eternal and inexhaustible. It’s really a damn shame it can’t be harnessed as an energy source.

Lubbock man’s truck with ‘come and take it’ decal stolen

A Lubbock man’s 2009 Chevy Silverado was stolen out of his driveway Tuesday morning, but not without irony.

Shelby Manning said he had just returned home around 11:45 a.m. When it was time for him to leave for work less than an hour later, he said his truck was gone.

“It was kind of a big joke and now, it actually came and got taken,” Manning said.

Manning said he is a landscaper and all of his tools were stolen with the truck, about $6,000 in value. Now, he said he is without his main source of income.
