I remember being out with the two-year-old daughter in the stroller and coming to an office supply shops that had some remaindered 5 1/4 floppy discs on sale and told her that she would be able to tell her grandkids that she had seen such a thing.

Like I recall seeing a Ford Edsel driving down our street.

The last public phonebooth in Czech Republic was removed in the summer of 2021; it was in the southern district of Prague and according to O2, who owned it, it hadn’t been used for four years at that point.

There was a phonebooth down the street from me here, and it was removed in 2017. It wasn’t even functional, just hopelessly vandalized. I’ve heard rumors that there’s still a functioning payphone at the main City Hall downtown, but I haven’t had time to run down there and see if it’s there. I do know the paternoster elevator is still in operation, though.
