What the? I presume this is meant to replace small gasoline engines with battery powered or electrical ones? Somehow, I can’t quite imagine myself going down a mountain slope cutting timber with a 2,000 ft. long extension cord on my chainsaw.

Yeah, and when you accidentally cut the cord, that climb back up the hill to reset the breaker and get the wire strippers and electrical tape is a bitch.
