Four years of running sound part time in dinner theaters in the early ’80s and I have to agree with that opinion. Rough guess on my part is about 75% of the male actors were gay, and quite proud of it.

Look, where were you located? That in istself has a lot of influence on that statement.

And he was talking about “the arts,” not just about theatre. I have no polls or stats to give you (and neither does Ojoe), but I have over 40 years in the arts, both vocation and advocation and that’s just not a true statement.

If you have figures, I want to see them.
