I have always understood the need to plan pregnancies. My child, and I have no desire to have more than one, was planned with my wife. I was a working dad at one point, but when that job evaporated it was obvious that my marketable skills weren’t going to be as profitable as my wife’s. Worse, the cost of day care was greater than any income I could receive. The fact that I’m a stay-at-home-dad still gets me questioning looks, and pointed comments when people find that out. I refuse to feel any shame for what I do.
