Heh, it’s a salvage title. I couldn’t sell it for enough to make the hassle worth my while. I do know of a reputable shop, though. Often hard to find, but they do exist.

Thanks Ward. Where to look? There is no mention of CV joints in the index of my skimpy Haynes manual.

What kind of car is is (year/make/model)? Even Haynes manuals typically cover CV joints. They’re terribly hard to rebuild/replace, except that you can’t swap parts (balls/races) between sides, because they’re matched parts, and sometimes the clamps on the boots require a special tool to install.
