My neighbor just posted this on facebook:

“Avoid Hospital X, what a bunch of hacks. I feel like I’ve been at the VA.”

This from someone who never served. Sigh. Just when I thought I might be making some inroads with these people. He’s on a tear about this whole VA thing, blaming Obama, hoping he gets back “100 times the damage he’s caused”, that kind of crap. I don’t even have the strength to answer this crap anymore.

I’d just show him this:

Former military service members using Department of Veterans Affairs hospitals are just as happy with their care as patients using private medical clinics, according to a leading customer-satisfaction survey.

The American Customer Satisfaction Index for 2013 shows that the VA health network, which serves more than 8 million veterans, achieved marks equal to or better than those in the private sector.

The entire VA scandal is predicated on a lie, that they perform worse than private hospitals and should be privatized.
