No, I’m sure they didn’t intend that. They were using the word before Maddow did that piece. They should have run the word through google or urban dictionary.com.

(TeabagObama was a tag some were using on Twitter to organise, apparently. There were signs saying “tea bag the liberal dems before they teabag you.” Just embarrassing.)

This was just a bad, bad misstep by some of the people involved in organising the idea. The liberal blogs picked it up first and mocked it ferociously, and then Maddow did that piece. i didn’t expect anyone in the MSM to mention it, frankly.

As I said above, anyone who wants to invent a neologism (or an acronym) now has to run it through urbandictionary or google. As far as I’m concerned this choice of words just shows bad planning.
