Yeah, I’m sure there’s all kinds of morons out there who think that the invisible hand of the market will make everything well. A megathrust event like the one described in the article is the invisible hand of Nature flipping those morons the bird.

We will also hear people explaining that the people who lived there were aware of the risks and cannot be dependent on a coddling government to bail them out…you know, True Christians, the kind who do not allow their megachurches to be used as shelters for flood victims.
