HOA’s are made of up control freaks who failed to establish their very own totalitarian dictatorships.

HOA’s are a necessary evil. I won’t buy a house in a neighborhood that doesn’t have one. You’ve got to have something to keep people from letting their place go to shit, parking in the front yard, putting up fountains with little boys taking a leak, and generally jacking up your property values because they are either too lazy, too trashy or both. Just don’t piss off the people on the board.
