Let’s be consistent…they were not chased away from lefty rallies, in the same manner that tricorner hattery are not tossed out of tea parties.

Note that i do not wish to equivocate; i’ll take codepink crazy over racism any day, but let’s remember that the standard we’ve set is ‘active participation at rallies’ = implicit acceptance.

Consistency is the best foundation for a rational discussion.

They weren’t unpopular with anti-war rallies, and the acceptance of people a lot worse than them was the reason I stayed out out of those rallies. Within their own little world, they are people of respect, if not importance.

I would never suggest that they were not mainstream within the anti-war movement, merely that their influence outside it was and is pretty much nil.
