Politico gave him 10 days to formulate a response to the initial accusations, a virtual lifetime in the 24/7 news-cycle. And his tactic was to plead ignorance and act as though it wasn’t important. If he can’t come up with a good answer in 10 days, how the hell does he expect to come up with one in 10 minutes, say in the middle of a national crisis?

Indeed. When I heard about these latest allegations I knew Cain was toast. As long as no one was going on camera to graphically recount their allegation, he had a chance. But now he’s got a woman openly accusing him and he doesn’t have a good answer to her allegation.
