Siddiqui was the valedictorian at his high school in Michigan, and he had plans to join the FBI after serving in the Marines. His drill instructor had been investigated previously for abusing a Muslim recruit. There was a witness [another recruit] who witnessed the physical and verbal abuse this young man received from the drill instructor. The witness says the drill instructor physically abused Siddiqui, called him a terrorist, and asked him why he wanted to join the Marine Corps since he [ the drill instructor] already knew he wanted to kill American soldiers and citizens. Sounds like a real wack job to me. Why he is still permitted to train any recruit is a question I think his superiors need to answer.
