I have no legal background so my questions may be very naive:
(1) is Schlossberg a member of the Federalist Society
(2) do some members of that Society refusing to join the bar association as a matter of “principle”?
(3) if you are not a member of the bar, can you still practice law or are there limitations on your practice?

Some answers:
1. you don’t have to be an attorney to be a member of the federalist society (I used to be a member while in law school)
2. no, unless joining a bar association is optional in their state
3. New York requires you to register as a member of the bar upon passing the bar exam. He wouldn’t be authorized to practice law otherwise.
