Hi Floral! You’ve hit it “in one” as they say. Windstream is buying up local phone companies all over the country. Ours - in our little Texas Hill Country town - was owned by one family until the last family member (a wonderful lady named Dodo - don’t laugh!) passed on.

Since then, what had been a terrific little telephone company - where you didn’t have to make a call to a tech center, you’d see Dodo at a fund-raiser on Saturday night - has devolved into a “service” staffed by people who have absolutely no idea what “service” means!
