I would argue that the alien wasn’t a villain at all. There was no malice in its actions. It was simply living according to its biology. Eat, lay eggs, survive. Though a diet of greasy humans can’t be good for you, I must say.

I was going to say something similar, but you beat me to it. The ‘Alien’ species isn’t sentient, not in any of the movies made about it. It cannot think, so it cannot have malice or greed. A villain’s acts are driven by evil thoughts, so a being that does not have free thought cannot be a villain. It can still be an enemy. of course.
