I will agree that in USA, health care on a national level is quite onerous. State and lower should handle it. That said, people that that don’t want to be part of universal coverage are selfish. Here is an example. Say a group of people are on some secluded island. A group of these people are willing to work towards building infrastructure to provide a reliable water supply. Others said they don’t want to join cause they can get water on there own. Stuff happens and the easy water ain’t so easy anymore. Now they come begging from those that have worked from the start.

Same thing with health care. Those that say, “I am healthy and don’t need to pay” will be begging for care when they are older. Again, why is this even up for debate?
