It all went down the tubes when Blair left. What a disastrous turn of events that turned out to be for Labour. Hence the desperate calls to bring him back.

Blair ran Labour more like the Tories…he was a Clintonesque and moved the entire party to the center. Gordon Brown has been ineffective…..sorta like John Major was after Thatcher. It’s odd that when I lived in London in the 80’s, Neil Kinnock was a good old Socialist and ran (and lost) on those merits. Now, the Labour Party is way more centerist. But, the Democrats who used to be more Centrist are looking more and more like the Labour Party of the past a la Neil Kinnock. Odd how things are turning out. Europe, in general, is lurching right while the USA is turning the other way.
