I hope so. The Republicans are never going to get their wish to abolish planned parenthood and the EPA. If they go through with a shutdown it’s going to be very difficult to back down.

How do you negotiate with a suicidal hostage taker? That’s what these folks are, you know.

They have been told, and agree, that taking their demands will cause hundreds of thousands of jobs to be lost, that it will have a major negative hit to the economy, yet they still want their demands filled. If not filled they’re willing to destroy everyone anyway by ‘shutting it down’. “I get my way or we all die.”

They may or not be evil. They are, however, insane. And I have decided that I will work to defeat and destroy them.
