Thanks, Charles! I’m going to have my daughter watch and listen to this. She plays bass, but I don’t think she’s really seen how versatile and amazing her instrument is. She’s just stuck with boring parts in middle school orchestra.

Charles Mingus does some amazing playing and combined with the equal genius of the the other two (Duke Ellington on Piano and Max Roach’s drums) and you have one of the all time greatest jazz albums that remains painfully unknown.
