It certainly adds a new dimension to next year’s elections. I think we might start to see more and more cracks in the space between the Tea Party and GOP leadership, perhaps even leading to a full-on schism in the party ranks.

I think the Tea Party may be over. CNN released a poll today that the Tea Party has been becoming increasingly unpopular. There’s a Tea Party rally scheduled for tomorrow in DC, even the wingnut blogs aren’t promoting. I doubt many people will show up. They tried to hold counter protests in Wisconsin which quickly flopped. It might be over but I was predicting the end of the Tea Party last year so what do I know.
