Watching the football game and just saw an occurrence of the dumbest thing in football.. Offsetting personal fouls = nothing. Two guys try to hurt each other on purpose and the refs say no big deal, its a do-over. I think a personal foul in addition to the penalty yardage should require a player to go off the field for 3 plays or something like that. Not a man advantage like in hockey, just that he has to leave the field for a few plays. Yanking someone’s facemask or slamming the QB to the ground well after he’s thrown the ball is a personal foul and 15 yard penalty, but if one guy from each team does it on the same play its just a do-over. Something seems wrong with that to me.

agreed…offsetting penalties are okay unless one is more potent for injury than another and that one should be enforced…if they are relatively identical, what can you do?…play it over
