I was feeling very homesick here in December and then I noticed some christmas displays. A big (well, for here) department store had a lot of decorations in the window, including a prominent menorah. A few days later I realised I was seeing a lot of them.

They weren’t menorahs at all, they call them christmas arches and they’re seven candles.

Really freaked me out. I do love Scotland but the lack of diversity gets to me.

Those “Christmas arches” are stepped, while menorah candles should be straight across.
