As most of you know, I spent last weekend in New Orleans. Driving in to the city, you can still see homes and buildings boarded up for Katrina though there has been considerable recovery. It’s definitely not the same place though. There has, I believe, been an irrevocable change in the city and its people.

I was just there myself. This isn’t the first time New Orleans has been through big change. The scars are still there, but the city’s still standing. Right after Katrina, it wasn’t clear if even that much was possible.
