Boy, if there was ever one tune that summed up the drugged-out stupidity, ignorance, avarice, and self-absorption of American pop-culture in the late 90’s, it was that awful nasally, twangy pop hit by the prunish Sheryl Crowe. Every freakin’ time I heard that, I just wanted to lash out in some act of outrageous and pointless violence.
